King County Democrats Pass New Resolutions Regarding Community Safety, Racial Equity, and Justice for Black Lives
At the June 23 meeting of the Executive Board of the King County Democrats Central Committee, the King County Democrats passed four resolutions related to the community safety, racial equity, and justice for Black lives. These resolutions were drafted in coordination with and in support of community organizers working on the ground to build more just and equitable King County communities. The resolutions are:
- Resolution in Support of Defunding the Police and Investing in Community
- Resolution in Support of the Political Consultants of Color Coalition
- Resolution in Support of Initiative 1776, the Washington Anti-Discrimination Act
- Resolution Calling for Justice in the Killing of Unarmed Jogger Ahmaud Arbery
